Privacy Policy

Thrainit is a workout log for iPhone and iPad made by George Paresishvili, an independent developer (“we”). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the Thrainit app and the thrainit.com website.
The short version
- There’s no sign-up and no Thrainit account. Sync uses your own iCloud.
- We don’t collect your workouts or any other personal data from the app. Your training log is stored on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account, where we can’t read it.
- There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking in the app or on this website.
Data you keep in Thrainit
Your workouts, sets, notes, exercises, routines and gyms are stored on your device.
If you’re signed in to iCloud, Thrainit keeps a copy in your private iCloud database so your iPhone and iPad stay in sync. That database belongs to your Apple Account and is handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. We can’t see or access it. Thrainit uses silent notifications from iCloud only to fetch changes in the background; they don’t show anything.
A few preferences, such as your weight unit, stay on each device and aren’t synced.
Location
Thrainit asks for your location only when you choose a gym, to show gyms in your town. The location is used at that moment with Apple Maps and is not stored. For a gym you pick, Thrainit saves its Apple Maps place identifier and name, and shows its address live from Apple Maps. You can say no, and change your choice anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.
Apple Music
If you choose to add a playlist to a routine, Thrainit asks for access to Apple Music to show your playlists. It saves only the chosen playlist’s identifier with the routine, and playback happens in Apple’s Music app. You can turn access off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Media & Apple Music.
Files you export, import and share
- Export Workouts… creates a CSV file of all your workouts where you choose to save it.
- Import Workouts… reads a file you pick, on your device.
- Sharing a routine creates a .thrainit file with the routine’s name, look, exercises and targets, and no workouts. Sharing a workout summary creates plain text. Both go only where you send them with the share sheet.
Once you send or save a file outside Thrainit, the app or person you gave it to is responsible for it.
Contacting support
If you email support@thrainit.com, or use Send Feedback… in the app, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. Send Feedback… adds the app version, the system version and your device model to the draft so we can help; you can delete them before sending. We use these emails only to reply to you and fix problems, and keep them with Bird, which receives mail for thrainit.com. How long those emails are kept is not decided yet. We delete them sooner if you ask.
Apple services
Thrainit uses Apple services that Apple runs under its own privacy policy: iCloud for sync, Apple Maps for gyms, Apple Music for playlists, and the App Store for downloads. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
This website
thrainit.com is a static website. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, trackers or embedded third-party content; its fonts and images are served from the site itself. A host is not chosen yet. Whoever hosts the site may process your IP address and browser details in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Deleting your data
- A workout: delete it, then delete it again from Deleted Workouts; otherwise it’s erased 30 days after you delete it.
- Everything on a device: delete the Thrainit app.
- Your iCloud copy: on iPhone or iPad, open Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Storage (or Manage Account Storage) › Thrainit and delete its data.
- Support emails: ask us at support@thrainit.com.
Children
Thrainit isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect anyone’s personal data in the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Union or the CCPA in California), you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and object to or restrict its use. In practice we hold only support emails. Write to support@thrainit.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change how Thrainit handles data, we’ll update this page and its date before the change takes effect, and say so in the app’s release notes.
